Omar Hamada, born in Tallahassee, Florida of Lebanese immigrant parents, has a singular passion – liberating the oppressed by changing hearts and minds, and thus the way people think and act, for the sake of the Kingdom of Christ.
Omar’s depth of experience encompasses the worlds of Academics (Associate Professor at the U of TN COM and Vanderbilt COM), the US Military/Government (MAJ, US Army Special Forces), Fortune 100 Corporations (HCA and Pfizer), and several Small Business/ Entrepreneurial ventures where he served as CEO, CMO, President, and Principal.
The breadth and depth of Omar’s personal and professional experiences can be mainly categorized by “The 6 M’s”: Marriage, MBA, Medicine, Military, Ministry, and Music.
Omar and his bride Tara (MD – Med/Peds) have been married for over 19 years, and have four children. They are members of Fellowship Bible Church, and live in Brentwood, TN. In tangent with his work in ministry, Omar is passionate about mentoring couples and speaking to a culture that continually challenges God’s call on married couples.
Omar is completing an MA in Theological Studies from Columbia Biblical Seminary (CIU), and has earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, an MD from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and a BS from Union University. He is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the International College of Surgeons, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Omar is also a graduate of Columbia Biblical Seminary (Certificate in Biblical Studies and Missions), the Arrow Leadership Program, and the Tennessee Medical Association’s Physician Leadership College.
He has served as Chairman of the Board of HumaniTV, the Hamada Evangelistic Outreach, Mid-South Youth For Christ, and of the Middle Tennessee Christian Medical and Dental Association. He has also served as a Board Member of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians, HCA StoneCrest Medical Center, Mission:HOPE, Austere Medicine, and 3C Wellness Academy, and is an Advisory Board Member of the Tennessee Medical Association Physician Services, the Juvenile Intervention and Faith-Based Follow-Up (JIFF), and Serve & Protect.
He is a 14-year veteran of the US Army, ten of which were spent in the US Army Special Forces, (Airborne). He is a qualified Paratrooper, Scuba Diver, US Navy Surface Supplied (Hard Hat) Diver, Combat Medic, Flight Surgeon, and Diving Medical Officer. Omar is an instructor of Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Hapkido. He is a decorated recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
Omar is an ordained minister, and lives by the belief that everything he does is for the glory of God. Omar is the Founder of ‘Radical Surrender’ – a high-level men’s peer mentoring community, and is an Executive Coach with “The Locker Room” in Brentwood, TN.
Omar is a classically trained spinto tenor (NY/Memphis/Vienna), and a classical and jazz trumpeter. He has performed, preached, and taught worldwide to live and televised audiences reaching over 1 million people.
He is an active member of Nashville’s Leadership Healthcare Council, the Entrepreneur Center, several professional organizations (**SOMA, TMA, TAFP, AAFP, ACOG, AAGL, ICS, IMMS, WMS, ACSM, AMSUS, etc.), and various HighIQ Societies (Intertel, Volant, TOPS, TMS, UNIQ, Mensa, Ingenium, HPS). He is the recipient of multiple local, regional, and national awards for excellence in Teaching, Education, Sales, Medicine, Negotiation, and Leadership.
Omar is currently Principal of The Hamade’ Group LLC, an ER physician, and CMO of Advon HealthCare, RxGenomix, and of the Humanitarian Assistance Team. He is an aspiring author and is completing his first two books “Warrior Faith” and “A Certain Hope”.
